I'm sure all of you have experienced a "boneless kitty" at one point or
another. Its when you try to manahandle the cat into doing something it
doesn't want to do. The cat may fight you, or, in Gandhi-like protest, go
boneless, sot hat while youa ren't *fighting* against the cat as such, the
cat is in no way making things any easier for you by going all floppy and
"pouring" itself out of your grasp.
The Yowlet is 18 months old. The Yowlet now has a fully developed Will,
which is often in conflict with ours. Sometimes we just have to pick him and
physically remove him from places where we don't want thim getting into,
although we know we'll get the great big song & dance, crocodile tear
protest about not being allowed to do what he wants to do. Others kids may
beat their heads onteh ground, or hit people, or scream at the top of their
lungs. Most people call these displays of frustration "tantrums"
But the Yowlet has been cat-trained. When he is frustrated at not getting
his way, he emits a low growling sound and goes completley floppy so he's
really difficult to pick up or move out of the way.
Shmogg, IBKFergus and even Fluffy are clearly training Cary well, although I
wish they'd take more interest in parenting when there's a dirty nappy to be
changed, for example.

LOL between you and the cats you're doing a good job of raising Cary. Are

You mean he's not litter trained yet? LOL. Sorry, didn't mean to give the
kitties any ideas.

Yowie, I'm afraid the Gandhi baby is well-documented, with or without
cats to train them. My mother calls it "Spaghetti Arms."

LOL, loved reading that!
Yowlet may learn that "The Limp Thing" works well in combination with a
tactic we called "The Bow Thing." That's when you're out in public,
usually exiting a store when Child With Will either isn't ready to
leave, or didn't leave with the object he desired. The Limp Thing
usually results in poor beleaguered mother picking the child up and
carrying said child to the car, since obviously Child With Will's legs
have been rendered useless. But here's the kicker. Once Mother reaches
the car and attempts to place child inside, child bows out and becomes
stiff as a board. Totally unbendable, and the span of his
arms/legs/body is much larger than the car door, making it impossible
to get him inside.
Kids, love 'em. Wouldn't take a million dollars for either of them. But
I'm not sure I'd give a plug nickel for another one right now!
