Poor kitty! Too bad the homeowner didn't say, "If the owners don't come
forward I'll take him; he already knows the house" :)

He was trapped in the wall for over three weeks? It hardly seems
possible. The story is very Poe-ish, and the cat is awfully cute, and
looks quite happy to be out.
