The d-pet is outside enjoying the spectacular 15 minutes of autumn here in
Houston, so Demi ventured out to sit on a windowsill and catch some sun -
and I took the chance to catch some piccies of my gorgeous girl.

Demi is absolutely beautiful.  It's too bad she's so shy; she should have an
ego the size of Texas and be a regular camera-hog!

Yeah, me too.  Sammy can't stand it when she's not the center of attention!

Dear Miss Lori,

When you call Sammy's paw "stinky," you mean it is a very lovely paw,
don't you?

Love,
Stinky

Snowball thanks you (he's sure you took them for his benefit).
Assorted enlargements are now safely on our hard drive: he
spent his time looking at the monitor as they downloaded.

I'm told he'll be writing to her privately in due course.

Isn't she exquisite?
My faviourite is actually the first one - the lighting is just gorgeous.

LOL at Sammy's paw! The expression on Demi's face is priceless in that one.

She's gorgeous, but I bet she takes ages grooming, wow!

Why do I get the feeling Demi never messes up her fur?  Kind of like that
one kid who never got dirty no matter what they were doing. :)

Well, what would *she* be doing that would get her dirty?  ;)  That's
a princess if I ever saw one. ;)

It's partly because little Miss Valley Girl never does anything that musses
her hair, and partly because obsessive-compulsive Mommy doesn't allow any
dust bunnies under the bed where Demi spends most of her day.  Which reminds
me of a funny...

I've been trying to get my new mattress right, so when they delivered the
first new one and I was so excited about it I forgot about Demi.  I was
outside directing the deliverymen and when I came back inside one of them
asked me, "Do you have a cat?".  "Yep," I replied, "four of them."  "Oh,
thank goodness," he said, "when I picked up the box springs I saw a white
streak out of the corner of my eye and I thought it was a rat!".  Oops,
sorry Demi.

Then I decided that the first mattress wasn't perfect, so I asked to
exchange it for another one.  Again, I forgot about Demi.  I happened to be
in the room when the guy picked up the box springs and there was poor little
Demi looking like the sky was falling (or in her case, rising!) before she
shot out, jumped the baby gate across my bedroom door and streaked up the
stairs.

Then I decided that the first mattress was better than the second mattress,
so I asked them to change it back again.  This time the d-thing happened to
be laying on the other side of the baby gate across my bedroom door.  What a
dilemma!  Strange two-legged monsters invading her territory, the doors into
the scary Out wide open, the shaggy monster with big teeth blocking her only
escape route.  She decided the d-thing was the lesser of all evils and
jumped over the baby gate *and* the d-thing on her way up the stairs!

Hugs,

CatNipped

How rude, a rat indeed!  Don't people notice how beautiful and elegant
the white streak is? :)
