Howard Berkowitz - 18 Sep 2004 04:49 GMT I will have to admit I was a little nervous with the rescue group taking her to a distant vet, but I got this message late tonight:
Dear Dad, I have been a really good little girl this week and I know you would be proud of me. I used my very best manners and was on my very best behavior. Virginia thinks I'm a wonderful little kitty. My doctor liked me?too -- very much and she said I am about as healthy as one can be. Daddy, I really?want to come home. Virginia said she will bring me to?Petco/Bailey's at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning--Saturday, Sept. 18th. Please be there to get me. Give my brothers a hug. Love, Rhonda

She's back home, sitting behind me on the chair...I have to be careful about leaning back. All three sniffed one another, and Rhonda head-bumped Mr. Clark, but there's some tension in the air.
real-time update...Rhonda moved over to Ding and touched noses, but one of them -- and I can't tell which even though they are next to me -- started that rising siren tone that often rises to a battle cry, but it quickly stopped.
She was very happy to see me and is being friendly, thoogh. It's been a rough cat week. While Mr. Clark hasn't had any major events, we did have a firm disagreement today about the fax/copy machine being a poor place for a large cat. In the last couple of days, he's sent at least 2-3 faxes (not to a working number) and made several copies. This is not acceptable when it's low on toner! A box now sits on tp[/

They should get over it in a day or two and if not, rub them with the same towel to spread around the same smell.

I know what your mean - and from the abrupt end of your post it looks like he stepped over and hit a few keys on your keyboard along with the "Enter" key!!! :>

Mr. Clark would be more likely to crush the keyboard or send it flying.
The house-call vet is coming to see Mr. Clark and Ding on Tuesday. I have a horrified anticipation of Mr. Clark. being weighed. Rhonda weighs 6-some pounds. Ding is about twice her size. Mr. Clark is at least twice as wide and almost twice as tall as Ding.

About the most affectionate cat I'm known -- I'm putting in an application to volunteer us for pet therapy.

None of my owners are even-tempered enough for that, alas!! I just know that it would make me feel better, if I were hospitalized or institutionalized, if I had a kitty visit me.

Whenever a human kitten visits, he runs over and is soon giving them a bath -- although he doesn't object to sharing a bottle. I've seen him go up to an upset human, climb in their laps, stand up, put his paws on their shoulders, make eye contact, and lick their face.
We ARE going to do something about his breath, though.

When Rocky spent a couple days off being neutered, Sammy accepted him back like he hadn't been gone - but she dragged the towel out of the carrier. It's her special pink towel (the one that was with her in the newborn kitty box and has been in her bed since except for the odd trip to the laundry). It had to be washed before she accepted it back in her carrier/bed.

Oh yes. Rhonda and Mr. Clark cuddled through the night. Ding has me confused, not that is unusual. He MUST press against me in my office, but strenuously objects to being picked up and taken to the bedroom.

When Rocky wants to lay down with me, he puts on a full body press. But, don't try to pick him up - he hates to be picked up. He doesn't really fight, just gets all stiff-legged and takes off as soon as he's put down.

Please give her a little scritch for me. I don't see her at the moment, but I hope Ding has taken up a new office resting place other than the keyboard -- he's stretched behind me in the desk chair, being a pleasantly warm lumbar support.
