First off, Buster had been out for a day and a night. Senyah (The "I
am not a cat person" lady - yeah right!) asks me where Buster is, and
tells me, "I kinda miss the little fart."

So I open the door this morning, and Buster comes running up the walk,
runs into the kitchen, pulls open a cabinet door, and takes a nap on a
bag of Cheerios. Apparently, except for visits to the food, water and
litterbox, that is where he stayed all day.

So I get home, heat up some taco shells, nuke some seasoned taco meat,
slice lettuce and shred some extra sharp cheddar. I fill up the
shells, and split them between me and Senyah.

In a few minutes, I hear Senyah hollering "No! Stop! Ouch!"

I figure it's Dulce Mae pushing stuff off the coffee table, but go
into the living room to see.

Senyah is holding Buster back, with all her strength. Buster is
straining with all his strength, and not a few claws, to get to
Senyah's plate.

Well, i finished my tacos with no interruptions, so I offer the plate
with taco leavings to Buster. He leaps to that side of the couch, and
tears into the plate. He apparently likes medium-strength picante
sauce, since that is most of what's on my plate.

I wander off to get a fudgesicle for dessert, and he has finished my
plate and set his sights on Senyah's plate once again.

So I pick him up. He grabs my shirt collar, and gives me an evil
glare, like, "No one can stop the taco acquisition! Surprise is our
greatest weapon!" (okay, bad Monty Python reference), and we go into
the bedroom, where he snuggles in my lap (hmmm, could this be his REAL
intent?).

All is well so far. Senyah just came in and put her empty plate on the
bed for him, he did his impression of a heavily clawed missile, and is
currently vacuuming the picante sauce from yet another plate.

First maple syrup, now picante sauce. Cats never cease to amaze me.
Especially this one...

Wow.

Buster is a character.  Stinky has an asbestos tongue.  I can't
believe some of the stuff I've seen him go for.  I've seen him licking
jalapeno potato chips.

Joanne and I  discovered that Spicey likes shrimp cocktail sauce, but
wont
eat shrimp. Go figure.

Brandy has developed a taste for peanut butter sandwiches, of all things. A
few weeks ago, before she had her teeth done, she was all over Louie as he
munched on his sandwich, and finally craned her neck around and stole a good
healthy bite; and I'll be dipped if she didn't actually munch it all down. I
thought I read somewhere that cats didn't have taste buds for sweet stuff!

If you think that's out there, Stosh has a fetish for Gold Bond cream and
Tiger Balm. I'm at a loss to explain it. When we have to use these things,
he'll be all over us purring and trying to lick the medicated spots. My
boy's and OTC junkie!

Blessed be,
Baha

Stinky loves Tiger Balm, too-- anything with a kind of minty-ish
smell.      When he was a hooli, he used to try to pry my mouth open
after I brushed my teeth, so he could get a good whiff of my minty
breath. ;)

Vino licks tiger balm off me too.  It's weird.  He's also got a fetish
for Secret antiperspirant.  Not allowed anywhere near my armpits
anymore.

I used to take care of a lady who was once a hairdresser before her stroke,
and she had a cat named Midnight. This little fellow had a hair fetish. It
was the mid-nineties, the height (ecch!) of the big-hair fad, and mine was
pretty huge. I used to curl it and make it stand with way too much
Freeze-n-Shine spray so I had hair that made me look like an extra on
"Mama's Family," or a mall rat. Midnight loved to lick hairspray, and got
all over my hair to lick me.

If you read my post under "I believe," you'll see a reference to an
aggressive cactus. This came from the same lady. She had cacti all over the
house, and one day as I was vacuuming, I lost my balance and landed
ass-first onto a cactus with thick, two-inch spikes. It took over five hours
to pick all those things out of my butt, and the sadistic woman was laughing
hers off. It it weren't so cowardly to slap a lady in a wheelchair...

Hobbes *loves* taco meat.  I think that is because the very first thing
he ever ate from me was taco meat. It was the only cooked meat I had in
the house and he had spent the day on my back patio waiting for me to
come home from work and adopt him.  I'll never forget that tiny, orange
cat who was so very hungry that he made little growly sounds as he ate
and his little stub of a kitten tail quivering.

I'm so glad they don't hold their first meals against us.  Pine Cone's first
meal with us was a couple of hot dogs.  After he ate them, I went to the
store for kitten food.  Tanada was adopted in El Paso Texas.  I call her a
Hispanic Italian cat as she loves just about everything Tex-Mex or
American-Italian.  Today she cleaned up my Buffalo spiced chicken patties
that I had no idea would be so spicy.  I think we'll have a hot time in the
old bed tonight.

Hee hee.

When I brought Mimi home, she fled under a bed and stayed there for
awhile.  I heated up my dinner--  leftover lasagne-- and sat down on
the floor to eat it.  Mimi almost instantly appeared at my elbow. ;)

Well, the two things that Brenna will try to mug me for are chocolate
and spicy food (most recently, Zatarains Jambalaya mix cooked with
shredded pork).  I have longer arms, and she is too well mannered to
succeed.  However, she always trys.
