Dear all

As you may know I have a job I don't want- especially just lately when
things have gone from bad to worse.

Tomorrow morning I have an interview for a job that sounds like it
would be my dream job even under better circumstances here and it would
certainly be nice to quit here and be able to say it was certain
peoples fault and anyway I'm going up in the World!!!!

The only thing is whilst there's nothing in the job description that I
can't do I'm a bit mystified as to what they spotted in my CV to make
them interested!

Anyway.....Purrs PLEASE! (I've got the Furballs on purring overtime-
I've told them if I get it, there's ham for them!)

Absolute purring going on here.  I hope you get the job and that it makes
you happy!  Good luck!

I've been so heartened (which is kind of sad) by things I'm hearing that are
going on at my former employer.  The company where it was such a joy to work
for *years* is treating people like crud.  I'm glad I'm not there anymore.

Best of luck to you!  Break a leg and all that.  (That's theater luck -
does it work for job interviews too?)

Yeah, that's what I'm hearing about my old job, too.  At first we
were all unhappy to be let go, but now we're finding out that the
ones who were dumped were the *lucky* ones.  Nearly all of us got
jobs that are more stable and pay better, while the ones who stayed
are miserable.

Many job purrs coming right up!  And be confident!!!  They spotted in
your CV that you'd be a great employee and you should walk into that
interview with your head held high.

Just got the call- not been asked back for a second interview.Oh
well....Them Furballs told me they were purring for me but I think they
were purring for Speckles which is much more important- at least that's
what they'll tell me when they claim the ham

Sorry to hear that. Purrs that something even better crops up.

In the meantime the No Hope Service will still be able to utilise
your doubtless excellent services :-)

ROFLOL!!!! I hadn't thought of that one!

Henceforth when people ask me where I work I'll tell them "the No Hope
Service"

Glad you like it. It stems from the fact that I used to live in the
catchment area of St George's Tooting and now live fairly near
Derriford Plymouth. Both have grown so large that they're
unresponsive, clumsy and unmanageable. So I suggested
that they put up a placque at the entrance using Dante's
(I think, and I mean Aligheri the poet not Theresa's kitten)
words from the mouth of H*ll:

"Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here"

(Loose translation)

If I can't get referred to a nearer cottage hospital I always
opt for the RD&E at Wonford, Exeter despite the longer
journey.

Purrs

We're considering sticking this up over our office door.....I think our
attitude is summed up by the sign on the office wall, it reads:

"doing a good job in here is like wetting your pants in a dark
suit...You get a warm feeling but no-one else notices"

Nice one. You might also consider:

"You don't have to be alternatively intellectually abled to work
here but it would definitely help".

Keeps the PC nuts happy too!
