I'm a bit numb.  We went to the vet's and the obvious was there.  I held her
and she will wait for me on the other side.

I've been out today and tonight, so have only just read the bad news.  I
hope you are still here long enough to receive hugs and to know that I lit a
lovely scented green candle for Willow's journey as soon as I heard.

((((((((((((((((M.Elizabeth)))))))))))))))

It hurts so much to lose them! I'm sorry, and I hope Willow had a
gentle passing. When the time comes though, it is clear that the
kindest thing IS to let them pass over the bridge with a loving
farewell. It is the final and kindest act of loving animal
guardianship. It does relieve  their own physical suffering, even if it
does nothing to make our hurt at losing them go away.

Let yourself grieve for as long as you need to and then.... find
yourself a new cat friend to love. I know my pain over losing Izzy was
eased by learning to love Francesca.

And while she is waiting she will be there, giving love and comfort to one
of our souls lost to Katrina, or one of the little girls taken by the
Pakistani earthquake; and she will await you in health and strength, and
will someday greet you in joy. Prayers for your healing, and Willow's
gentlest of passings, follow her along the rainbow to the place where it is
always summer and there is no pain, no tears.

Blessed be,
