They're painting our windowframes and doors so they took the miniblind
off the little window in our door and unscrewed the hangers. The
fittings were left on our coffee table, and Silver just noticed them.
She jumped up onto the table, sniffed at the fittings, took one in her
mouth and ran away with it... then she batted it around the floor for
awhile enjoying the loud clanking noise that it makes on the tile.
Since it's not a cat toy I took it off her and put it up on the
tv-cart, so what did she do? She went straight back to the coffee
table and got the second hanger! Who said cats aren't intelligent?
(I wonder how long it will take her to jump up onto the TV cart to
steal the 'toys' back again?)

Hah! Dat's Nuffin!!!!
Moe - ever teh bottlecap feind, somehow found some "buy one get one free"
Pepsi or Mountain Dew caps that DH brought home from work (they have a
machine at work, and I try not to drink caffeine drinks but once or twice a
week, so I'm saving them to run to a convenience store & use them there). I
had them in a little basket by the printer, with sruff on top of them so
that they were completely hidden. Moe found them and there were none left
yesterday morning. I found them scattered all over the house - one had a
kernel of food in it, which I'm sure she was saving for a snack. LOL
And then there was a time, ages ago (before Tennessee became a fat blob)
that he loved the puffballs (same one's Weeb's claims now) and all of them
ended up under/behind the fridge (fortunately, we have a different fridge
now, it sits lower and they won't fit under it), and when we fetched them,
there were rather dirty - so we washed them in the sink, left them to dry on
the toilet tank. One by one they kept disappearing. Then I found out why.
After using the 'facilities' I was washing my hands, and here comes
Tennessee, up on the edge of the tub, to the toilet seat, up on his hind
legs and grabs a puffball off the toilet tank. I started laughing, and he
turns to look at me, yellow (or was it pink? I can't remember) puffball in
his mouth with that 'watchoolaffinat' look on his face, then darts away with
his prize and into the kitchen...
Cats are such entertainment sometimes :D

Did you happen to hear her yell "Yeeeee-haaaaaaaa!" as she did this?

You know what's weird? Oscar never carries things in her mouth.
She's a paw-girl all the way. All of her toys inevitably progress
from second floor to basement because she will bat them down, but
never pick them up.
While Eros was with us, it was genuinely surprising to find things
upstairs that had been downstairs a few hours ago, and to see him
carrying his favorite toy in his mouth.

I worked with a woman who would take off her wedding ring and set it in the
same spot every day to wash up. If she didn't put it back on immediately,
she'd find it missing. Her cat was fascinated by that ring (thankfully
never tried to swallow it!). She'd find it in the kitty's bed :)

I keep my wedding and engagement rings on a ringholder on my bedside
table - it's out-of-bounds to the kitties and they know it, but one
day one of them noticed the glitter, leaned up against the table, and
swept the ring-holder off with her paw. Then she picked up my brooch
and ran away with it! I had to rescue my jewellery before Silver used
it to sharpen her teeth!
