What is it about bedtime that causes cats to run all around the house?
It's just weird!
Saul Levy - 17 Sep 2004 21:14 GMT
Cats hunt at night.  They're supposed to sleep during the day, but
mine only temporarily follow that.  Sometimes they run around like
crazy cats during the day, too!  =8-)

Well, he's been resting up for it all day! ;)

The funny thing about it it, Stinky always *wants* me to get into bed
around 11:00.  If I don't he starts acting really anxious, walking
into the room., and moving suggestively towards the bed. ;)  Sometimes
he will even poke me and meow.  SO it's after he' stucked me into bed,
and he's jumped up and meatloafed on me for awhile-- then he gets
going.  He also  failthfully returns to bed throughout for cuddles,
and to lick my eyelids and purr in my ears.
Nights are interesting here. ;)

Kitty Ballou raisedme this way. Never could I stay up past 10:30. She would
start dragging sock after sock after sock out into the living room,
merowling all the time until I went to bed. Then she would jump up and lay
across my neck. I was her kitten.

She must've been very light.  Or even if she wasn't, who needs
bloodflow to the brain anyhow, right? :)

She was TINY. All long hair. Wet she looked like a six month old kitten. But
she ruled all with an iron paw.

She was unusual. She would also come when I whistled her particular "tune"
that I made up. I mean from *any* where in the neighborhood.

Frank gets anxious, too, if I don't go to bed on time. Like yesterday, I
watched a film on TV that lasted until 11.30. At around 11, Frank came
out of the bedroom, got up in my lap and sat there, neither looking at
me or the Tv, just staring ahead. After a while he got down, went to the
bedroom, and then he came back, sat in my lap, went to the bedroom...
until I finally turned off the stoopid box and went to bed. Luckily, as
he's grown older, Frank has stopped making the nighttime noises you
describe. Only once in a while does he yowl in the middle of the night.
He just curls around my head and purrs me to sleep. Nikki uses my legs
for a pillow.

Louie, who sleeps on my pillow between my head and the headboard every
night is also an eyelid licker.  He loves to get kisses, so maybe
that's his way of returning them?

Theresa, I checked out your webshot album.  Stinky is a doll, and
looks a lot like my Darla.  I posted 3 pictures of her on
alt.binaries.pictures.animals if you want to take a look.

ROFL!  Nights sound quite a bit like that around here, too.
