...re pneumonia: I'm doing much better. Thank you for all the purrs.
I'm not having too much problem with coughing any more. I still cough a
lot, but it's productive, so it's not the constant hacking that was so
painful.
I still have an astonishingly sore throat but that is so minor by
comparison. The only problem left really is the extreme exhaustion. I
wish I could spend a season convalescing by the seaside but that ain't
going to happen. And anyway, it's hard to tell whether the exhaustion
is caused by post-pneumonia or being heavily pregnant.
Thanks again for the magic purrs.

I'm glad you're better, and hope the coughing and sore throat both go away
soon.

I'm glad to hear that you're doing better but sorry to hear about the sore
throat and exhaustion. I can't imagine having pneumonia *and* being heavily
pregnant. Pregnancy knocked the wind right out of me. I'm sending you
convalescing by the seaside purrs for your rapid improvement.

Cheers... I'm thinking "Eastbourne" rather than "Skegness", if you could
tailor your purrs accordingly...? :-)

From this side of the pond, it can be a bit hard to aim
accurately. How do you feel about the Orkneys in October?

"Brrrrr", most likely, if it's anything like the Outer Hebrides. Some
years back I went to the OH for a clan gathering. It was August. It
was brutally Arctic. I remember the houses were short & squat, small
windows and walls about six foot thick, to keep the wind out but not the
cold. The landscape was so savagely windswept there were only a few
stunted bushes. Respect to the crofters who live there still; they're
tougher than me.

I'm glad you're feeling better. I'm not sure what the "If I may ..."
style subjects are about, though? It sort of sounds like someone
slammed you down for posting about your problems in the past, which,
if so, is reprehensible.

Maybe way back in the mists of time, but I can't remember any specifics.
Not on this group, anyway. Call it your English diffidence :-)
