What a Nosey Nag Sheba is!

When I went grocery shopping, I bought a large bag of chicken leg
quarters. The next day I got the bag out and washed the chicken and
pulled off the large globs of fat and separated the quarters into
individual pieces.

But as soon as I cut the bag open Sheba appeared and started nagging!
She must have a good nose to smell the chicken that fast. But she got
her treats. As I was pulling off the fat, I also pulled out the lungs
and gook and gave that to her. She was very pleased.

But she did not let up her nagging until I had put all the legs and
thighs in meal-sized baggies into the freezer. The back portions I put
in a large bowl.

Today I got out the bowl of backs and as soon as I took the lid off
the bowl, she started nagging. So I found a few more bits to give her
to keep her occupied while i got the chicken in the kettle.

An hour later I fished the backs out of the kettle to cool before
boning. SheBa started in on me again. I didn't think I was ever going
to get the chicken and rice ready! Maybe I should shut her in the
bedroom while I eat dinner! ;-)

And I just can't resist giving her bits as I prepare it, as well as
when i eat it.
