Finally. She *finally* got a home. I was beginning to think the little
doo-doo head was going to die from old age at that shelter.
It seems a good home, no small children. I hope, desperately hope, it's
a good one.
She *almost* got adopted about three times and showed her little ornery
self too much and got put back for a calmer kitty.
Purrs, PLEASE that she is a nice kitty for the new owners.
To this day I can't figure out why she turned out so ornery. My theory
is that maybe it is the combination of being Siamese, and the fact that
she never had any siblings or mother to "discipline" her for getting
too rough.

The first page is - Demi when she was about 6 months old (before her fur
fluffed out so much).

If you reverse the colors (black kitty on a white background) you have Weebs
doing his Happy Dance whenever he gets an email from His Preshus girlfirend
Persia.

Leave the colors alone, and 6-7 lbs to the cat, as well as a few spots and a
stripey tail, you get Mimi doing her "I got email from my boyfriend,
Boyfriend" dance

It's probably just "her way". Do you know who she went to? Will they
understand a special cat personality? PUUURRRRS taht this is a good match.

Yeah to Angel!

What about the other kitty that you had pictures of at around the same time?
She was the one that you thought had the nasties but turned out to be
healthy.  She was soo appealing.

The one with the sore on its head, the striped one, it got adopted
right away. Go figure. A woman came in whose cat had recently died. She
was dead set on one that looked like her old cat, a swirly tabby. That
kitten was the only tabby there at the time. It was the coolest thing.
She lived abt. 15 miles away, and asked us to keep the cat until she
could go to Walmart and get "new cat things." That woman came back with
a carload of toys, treats, scratching post. I *really* felt good about
that adoption, and that poor sickly looking cat was the last one I
thought would get a good home. You never know. The third kitten I took
about that time stayed about 3 weeks. The four baby kittens my son
found, two of them are still there.
Thanks all, for giving me a place to vent and yeah, sometimes to brag
when the little victories come along. It's not like people outside the
shelter environment really care to hear about stuff like that. Even my
kids just kind of glaze over and say, "Oh. That's nice."

I'm so glad Angel found a home.

Some people just /like/ ornery kitties.  We adopted Nocturne, after
all...

of those amber eyes that clearly stated "Take me home at once, cretins,
and stop dawdling."

Thanks for the update Sherry.  I'm so gald to find out that she enslaved
such a loving person.  That's a wonderful story.  She certainly tugged on my
heartstrings and I could have seen myself taking her in too.  If you ever
hear of any updates, I'd love to know.

I remember that one! I felt so happy that the woman took to the kitten
even through he/she didn't look too good at the time but she understood
that all the kitten needed was TLC. They had to be fated to meet! (or
the cat agency sent the kitten to her I am sure there is some sort of
mysterious agency that matches owners and slaves)

That's great news.  Purrs that it all works out well, and she lives a
long, happy life.

Some peoplelike the "ornery" ones.  When I went to Humane Society yo get a playmate for my
first one Margie was setting on the cat tree and when I went to pick her up she scratched
me a few times and I had to have her.  She turned out to be the friendliest and most
playful of all the four I now have.

Many purrs on the way that she has found the home for her.  We adore "rough"
Siamese cats, but it is a challenge to enjoy and play with them and at the
same time set limits they understand.

With each kitten we have looked like we lost a round with a raspberry
thicket till they learned.

Every once in a while Jake will roll on his back and grab my hand with his
teeth and all twenty claws.  And a look in his eyes that says "we both know
what I could do here if I really felt like it"

Great!  Glad to hear it.  Some people like ornery little brats anyway.

What a relief. I remember her baby picture when you brought her home --
what a cute thing.

I hope she has a happy life!
