Caliban is a very food-motivated cat. He is always trying to snarf, not
just his own food, but Frank's and Miranda's food, too. This is not
good, since I mix Frank's hyperthyroidism meds in his food, and mrianda
still refuses to eat any sort of cat food, and only eats fresh meat and
fish. Caliban gets a few pieces of meat or fish now and then, but I
can't afford to feed them both fresh meat every day. So Caliban gets his
own kitten food.
After a couple of months with us, Calban has learned that when he goes
to sniff Frank's food bowl, Meowmie will say sternly, 'Caliban, no!'
Then Caliban will commence solemnly burying the food. I think he's
learned that it is not fit to eat.
He still steals meat from Miranda's bowl whenever he can get away with it.

LOL! Nico also "buries" food. That's another thing Laku's learned from
the youngster, as he didn't do it before Nico came to stay with us.
The most spectacular thing Laku's learned from Nico is to eat kibble!
Laku didn't seem to comprehend that kibble was food and only played
paw-hockey with the bits earlier. I remember the first time I saw Laku
eating kibble - I called DH Janne over to witness the miracle, but he'd
already seen it before. Mind you, Laku still doesn't eat a lot of
kibble, but does munch a few now and then, when he feels the wet food
in his bowl isn't fit for consumption.

Have you moved everything now? How did it go? How did the cats take to
the new place?

Yep, everything's moved last weekend. There are still plenty of boxes
and bags of all sizes around that need to be unpacked. The cats,
especially Nico, seem to enjoy all those hiding places and climb around
on the piles of stuff. They seem to like the new place OK, but we
haven't let them out into the yard yet. We'll have to get another set
of "clothes" (harness and leash) for Nico, as he doesn't have any of
his own yet. We cannot let them out unsupervised as 1) it's in the
"house rules" not to let your pets out without being leashed and 2) I
wouldn't want to find either of my babies squashed along the
Asolanväylä - a large road with heavy traffic not far from us.
Good thing that I can get online at work, even tho not as much as I'd
like. Dang job duties interfere with my online surfing... ;) Now we'll
just have to wait until Sonera graciously connects us to the net at the
new apartment. Won't be long now, I hope.
