We talked to DH's brother in Texzs City this morning. They are okay, just a
lot of wind and rain. Their power was still on at 9 am eastern time
Saturday.
How is everyone else doing?

That is good to know. There is a resuce named Whiskerville there that
did not have the capacity to evacuate. I'm afraid that rain damage
still to come will be the large part of Rita's legacy.

Glad to hear that!  I just posted my own update.

John, have you heard from your 90-year-old uncle?

Yes.  He came through without injury or significant damage to his
house (I figure that he will find some minor damage -- loose shingles
and the like -- once he goes outside tomorrow).  His power even came
back on as I was on the phone with him.
