On another, more personal note:  my vet has had a invitation from me
since shortly after Beast left that I could help out with an older cat
that had been left adrift.  Two opportunities didn't work out:  an FIV
cat then a female (because Loos and Case don't get along and would
probably have a common enemy in another female).  A vet who used to be a
Beastie fan until she went on her own just called.  She has a 9yo male
Siamese for two weeks whose owner died.  Would I be interested?  Those
who have followed my posts probably know my heart leapt.  I'll go by
tomorrow if no response on an offer I put out to a N.O. owner.

We have an older lady volunteer at our shelter who just moved here last
year. She used to live there, and has volunteered for North Shore. She
had nothing but praise for the organization. It sounds like a good one.

Pfft. Oil companies and refiners, for sure. Royalty owners haven't seen
zip.
