Jake could use some purrs

Jake has an owie on his chest.  I don't know how he was hurt but its bad
enough the vet will have to trim the wound and put in some stitches.  Its a
tear about the size of a nickel.

So Jake has to spend the night at the vet tonight, and will have surgery in
the morning.  He should be home in the afternoon.

I'm sure he is a most unhappy boy.  He tried to tell me it was OK and he
really didn't need to go to TED.  But better safe and all that.

I'm sure he would feel better with some comforting purrs in the atmosphere.

Tomorrow we devote to a search and destroy mission for sharp objects and
nails sticking out in the garage and around the yard.

Any fencing nearby with either rusted wire, or wood that may be splintered?

Prayers that he comes thru surgery nicely (and that he's not angry with you
afterwards!)

Purrs for Jake's ouchie to be gone soon.
Tell him from us that he'll feel much better
shortly after TED's treatment.

Awwww!  Jake will feel better from the owie once they get the wound cleaned
and stitches in.  He will probably be a little embarrassed if they have to
shave part of his chest but he'll get over it.  Purrs for Jake!

Jake is home.  He is really pissed off, so I'm thinking he is fine.  Not a
happy cat.  I'm guessing he meowed all night and ever since he came to
today, cause he sounds hoarse.

He will gets lots of loving and should be his old self by morning.  Thank
you for will wishes and purrs.  Now we have some candles to light for a 6pm
hurricane prayer watch.

Purrs hat he is, indeed, fine now. Did you ever find what may have
caused it?

Not really.  The vet said it looked like he got caught on something like a
nail.  That adult cats have really tough skin and that its very unusual to
see a tear like that.

He seems to be fine.  Four or five stitches and a shaved spot about three
inches across on his chest.  But he is even more upset with me than he was
yesterday.  I know it made him mad when he tried to jump onto the window
sill and missed.  And he got stuck under the boys bed today,  Couldn't
squirm out of a spot he always crawls into and out of.  He is happy enough
with Charlie but really mad at me.  If I pass him in the hall, he slinks
down the opposite wall.

Sure, blame mama whenever anything goes wrong.

We will see where he sleeps tonight.  Or how long he can go without trying
to give me a ten claw massage.

Aaaww, that's why I'm always on the lookout for a way to trick Frank
into taking his medicine. That cat can really hold a grudge if I give
the meds to him with a syringe. He's been eating it mixed in with the
a/d now, ever since his diarrhoea. I should get him back on the kidney
diet, but his tummy gts upset every time I've mix even a few little bits
of it into the a/d. So he'll continue to get a/d for now. It's better
that he eats something, at least.
