Julie Cook - 15 Sep 2004 16:41 GMT She thought she could sneak off and get away with it. And while her birthday is actually Friday, since I'll be out of town, I'm sending my greetings today:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR PAM! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
Julie, Rusty, Hobbes, Selena, Lacey and Sam
(At least I hope I'm right about Friday being Pam's birthday. I tried to google Tanada and birthdays but there were just too many posts of Pam wishing others happy birthday. But during my Google search I realized there were a lot of August/September birthdays I'd missed so we are sending belated birthday wishes and purrs to all of you as well (stand up and be counted).

Thank you. You're right, Friday is my 49th birthday. This post has put a big smile on my face and a song in my heart, or is that diaphragm?

I've been spayed since Mandy was a baby. We don't want her having bare kittens, but I suppose I could live with another fur kitten joining the menagerie. Rob, however, keeps saying that if one more animal moves in, he's moving out.
Pam S. still thinking....
polonca12000 - 16 Sep 2004 14:31 GMT So Rob won't let you be adopted for your purr-day? Too bad! Lots of best wishes and purrs for your b-day to be a day to remember,

Rob says please no, don't send another one. We have more than we need, and don't need another cat. The guy ain't got no class.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAM.
And this is how I always sing the song to my mum: Happy birthday to you, you belong in a zoo, you look like a monkey and smell like one too.
(Please don't be offended, it's just meant as a joke.)

LOL How could I be offended? I think it's funny. We used to sing that to the kids after we sang Happy Birthday as "supposed" to be sung. The kids finally got so that they didn't protest it anymore and we stopped.
Last night I got them all singing Happy Purrday instead of Happy Birthday. I was informed that I was not supposed to sing for my own birthday. I figure that if I can't sing for my own birthday, who's birthday can I sing for.

The > kids finally got so that they didn't protest it anymore and we stopped. Then there's what we used to do at summer camp if it was someone's birthday - first sing the b'day song the right way, and then start chanting "Stand up, stand up, we won't shut up till you stand up..." on and on. Imagine a whole dining room full of kids singing that until the fully embarrassed kid had to stand up.

But fire and ice - those are cool elements, too.
Thanks!

Tanada - 18 Sep 2004 17:07 GMT > Whoops! Nearly missed it. > [quoted text clipped - 3 lines] > > Jeanette Thank you all for your purrday greetings. I had a great time and appreciate all the wishes and thoughts from all over the world. No shrimpies, but had beef stroganoff, pea salad, and lemon cake and pawns and praline ice-cream. Rob treated the family to a trip to Cape Hatteras, last week (I needed to get out for a while), Jim gave me spending money, and Charles MAY be buying the shelves I need to put more of the cat and pottery collection out of feline's way. I did pretty well for an old broad.
Now, Today is JOYCE'S purrday. HAPPY PURRDAY JOYCE!!!
Happy Purrday to you, Happy Purrday to you, Happy Purrday dear Joyce, Happy Purrday to you.
And may you have many many more.

> Now, Today is JOYCE'S purrday. HAPPY PURRDAY JOYCE!!! Thanks!!! I spent the day watching my sister get married. My whole family is together. Tomorrow we're going to go out and celebrate my b'day. A day late, but, after 50 years, I figure I can wait another day. :)
