Someone posted a link this week to a story in the Plymouth Herald about a
stray cat that was found and that was registered in Den Helder. I posted it
on some of the mailing lists I'm on, and one of my friends, who lives in
that part of the country, called the local newspaper in Den Helder. They
contacted the Plymouth Herald and went on a search themselves. The
registered owners didn't live at the contact address anymore, and the paper
thought maybe they were with the navy, so they called the Herald again with
that suggestion, the Herald took the search from there, and a few hours
later the cat was picked up by the owner ! It turned out that the owners ex
had worked for the navy, and was sent to Holland for 3 years. In 2002 they
went back to England and Ceefa was chipped for her animal passport.
