Although I'll be terribly unpopular with my countrymen for saying this but I"m *glad* that England won. Why? Because of 18 years of exceptionally boring cricket, the next few Ashes series will actually be *interesting*. its not much of a game when one side so severly outweighed the other that everyone pretty much knew the outcome before it had even started. One thing that did annoy me [and they will all deny it now] were the large number of people and newspaper reports who wrote England off after the first Test, saying they were no good. That's English people, of course. I think the best moment of the whole series was when England needed a draw, and the umpires were discussing whether the light was too bad to continue. There were two sections of crowd near each other, one full of Ozzies, one of English.
