The other night I went to bed after DH, and of course woke Moe.  I endured
her laps around the bed, and she finally settled in the crook of my knees (I
was laying on my side).  Almost as soon as she settled, I got the proverbial
crook in my left knee (which is the side I was *trying* to sleep on).  So I
had to straighten that leg, and disturb Miss Moe again.  Well, she saw my
feet moving and pounced on them.  My movement also stirred up a little
rumbly in my tumbly, and I let loose with a
fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffftt-at-at-at-at-at-at (I'm serious, that
what it sounded like) of a fart.  Moe heard that noise and then, in her
eagerness to protect Mommy and Daddy from any and all greeblings, pounced on
my butt.  Needless to say she quickly left (probably wondering just what the
heck I'd eaten to make that sort of smell, and gasping for breath to boot),
and I got the giggles and could NOT get to sleep.

Moe sounds delightful. I hope she forgives you for gassing her.

She has.  We had chicken from Long John Silvers for dinner yesterday, and
she gobbled down her portion(s) and was looking for more (we almost didn't
get anything but fries, hushpuppies & coleslaw)... she ate so fast you'd
have thought she was starving and we never feed her!

Hehe. Something similar happened to Nikki. She was sleeping peacefully
right beside the offending orifice, when it suddenly let out a
psssssssshhhhhhhhh. Poor Nikki jumped three feet in the air and streaked
off with poofed-out tail. After all, it didn't just smell bad, it HISSED
at her!
