I guess I haven't formally introduced Marietta...she is a Siamese &
Tortie DSH custom-blend adopted in October of last year.

I was so sad, mopey and lonely for weeks after Comet passed away last
fall plus
Alan was (and still is) away on a work contract in Japan...one of my
co-workers, Bill, gave me a 'weekend assignment' to "go visit and play
with
the kitties" at the local SPCA adoption center in Los Angeles where
he had adopted his tuxedo cat Odo. Wandering the floor was Marietta,
who saw me walk in and came up to nuzzle me. Of the all the cats there
that
day I felt she had "picked" me. (Bill's clever plot worked!) So on my
birthday I brought her home!
And yes--she has proven to be quite the catnip addict!

I've added another, more recent pic of her to the Catslaves photo
page...she is staring at crows that had gathered aroung the
skylight...the birds had brought chicken bones scavenged from the
local BB-Q spot and were making a tremendous racket pecking at them
atop the glass panes.

<<How cute!  Thank you for the heads up - I notice that both pics are
catnip pics. :)  Was she a rescue?  Have you posted a story about
her?

Welcome back Gennie! I kept hoping you'd post pictures and an
introduction of Marietta. She's beautiful. Now you have to post stories
because nobody has a kitten without stories.

I imagined that you must have been very sad.  Marietta though, sounds
so sweet.  And everyone has to see her picture!  She has the most
beautiful sharp and vibrant, yet dilute and soft sort of coloring on
her face, a sweet expression, a full chest, ringed arms, and white
mittens.
