I've not entirely been following your reports of your resurrected romance with an old flame, but I had the impression you were contemplating a ménage à deux. If that house is in California, I can well believe it's that expensive. On the other hand, my doctor just moved to Lousiana (where he'll have his own solo practice). He showed me a picture of the house he bought there for $280,000 - five bedrooms and surrounded by an acre of land! The images are back, including the one we were all looking at, and a notation has been added that "Selling houses is hard work...." (at the top of the page) "unless you're a dog" (at the bottom of the page).
