Ding Report?

Howard Berkowitz - 12 Sep 2004 15:06 GMT Some nice person called the animal shelter with a report of a gray cat, although there was another one, possibly abandoned, about 2 weeks ago. The shelter had her call me.
I'm going back out with posters. This is a little further away than I would have thought -- about 3 blocks, across a somewhat busy street. There are small woods on both sides of the street, and between the townhouses where the possible Ding may have been spotted. I did speak to the woman that saw him, and he was walking into woods in the general direction of my house.
Wish me luck.

Howard Berkowitz - 13 Sep 2004 23:23 GMT Well, if it's not Ding, there is a very lively gray cat making the rounds. I had three more reports today of his being in the heavily planted back yards of a group of houses. This is on the other side of the main road, about two blocks in the other direction from me. Hopefully, he's circling toward the house.
Tomorrow, or if I get enough energy tonight to be safe to drive, I'm going to get a harness and leash for Mr. Clark, my head cat, who is very parental. I don't know what he will think of a walk (although he has lots of dog qualities), but at least he can put down a scent trail, and, if I'm lucky, actually look for Ding.

Frank once tracked down Nikki for me, so it's not impossible. We are still purring for you.

Sounds like he went further than he intended and is having a slow time finding his way safely back, May he continue to travel safely and if at all possible in the right direction.

He had something caught on his paw, which someone was able to get off, but he then scratched them and ran off. I'm on my way out again.
