Dear all
I cannot thank you all enough for being so supportive. The news tonight is
that I can see that I have a tabby/white cat on a cream chair cover. No
detail. A definite Kitty with white and black. on another.
Up to now, detail is out.
The really big problem is that I'm a birdwatcher, I love to do it.. <sigh>
It might be that the two cats put paid to my garden birdwatching.

I think I'm a bit confused. What's this about?

It's about Tweed getting her sight back gradually. :o) We're sending
purrs from Finland for it to continue improving.

Ohhhhhh gotcha. I knew about all that, but I just didn't put it together.
Working overtime today and very discombulated. Sorry Tweed!!

Oh!! Duh...
It's great that your sight is getting better! Loved ones are the best
part of seeing, aren't they?

Oh, I'm glad I'm not the only one who is completely baffled by the above!
Christina, what did we miss? Are you clairvoyant or something? :) It sounds
like you're looking into a crystal ball.

Hoping it gets better and better. We like to watch our hummingbirds. At
least the cats don't go after them.

It sounds like your sight is improving rapidly - we're still purring
that you'll soon be known as "Ole Eagle Eye." :-D
We have lots of birds, even with a neighborhood *full* of cats. You
may be able to see more birds than you expect.

I agree, I still have lots of birds come to my feeders, even though I
have quite a few cats visit since I put out food for all the cats in
the neighborhood. I did have to move the feeders a few times, though,
when I first started feeding the cats. I had to find a spot that both
the birds were comfortable with, and that didn't have any handy ambush
spots for the cats to lurk in. I bought a couple of metal poles with
hooks on them that I could stick in the ground and move around until I
found the right spot. I don't think any birds have been taken this
year, and none last year except when Rocky pinned two blue jays to the
ground at the same time. He either let them go, or they escaped
because he couldn't figure out what to do with two at the same time.
He may have just been teashing them a lesson, since they regularly
scream at him.

I'm happy to hear your sight is improving. Yesterday I saw a family of
long tailed tits in the garden, one of the juveniles sat in the tree 18"
from me for over a minute. He was so cute and I had a great view.

That is pretty fast recovery. It won't be long till you can see
details. I watch birds just fine with 3 cats. The other day Robin just
about went through the window. A small bird flew to the frame after a
miller and wasn't scared of the movement behind the glass of a
predatory cat. It somehow knew Robin couldn't get it and it got
several millers around the window with Robin going bananas.

I can now see that there are black and blue things on the computer :-) I
can't read them though with the right eye.
Hospital again Wednesday. I'm hoping they will say my progress is typical.
I don't want to hear that I should have woken up with perfect sight,
although I suspect that was the idea.
I suppose they didn't expect I'd have a retinal bleed, it's a complication
that only happens occasionally.
