My hubby and I were talking tonight about some odd happenings that have
occurred to us lately, like smellling perfume when there is no one else
around, and hearing footsteps upstairs, again when there is nobody else
around. He told me this about this 'visitation':
"Last night I got up to go to the bathroom, and as I was sitting there, I
could hear purring. I looked all around the toilet, under the sink, in the
bathtub - no cat to be found. Still, I could hear the purring - it sounded
so close - the cat may have been sitting beside me on the cabinet, but there
was no one visible. I figured it was one of our RB babies, Maus, Dweazel,
Nyota, Teebies, Pixel, Siobhan, Ishtar or Brianna. I sat there for a little
while and listened to their catsong, before going back to bed." I don't
know for certain who it was, but it definitely was non-corporeal! <G> I love
kitty ghosts!

I have only had (still have) one cat so I can't speak for cat ghosts. But I
had a dog ghost vistitation and I'm halfway convinced Persia is actually my
dog Sampson in a cat-suit simply because of the way she acts sometimes.
These visitations seem to be more common than one would think and very, very
comforting.

I haven't had a kitty ghost but those of you that have been here a
while know that I did have a human ghost in my old apartment. Over the
years I had several different people stay with me and each one of them
had seen him and descibed him to me before I even mentioned to them that
I had a ghost. I never felt threatened, just calm when he would appear.
Well I moved out of that apartment at the end of May this year. On my
final night there I was in the kitchen packing up boxes. I had just
gotten home from dinner with friends and my friend Rick from Atlanta was
there to help me move. I'm packing a box and I start to smell something
burning. I look over to the counter and I see smoke coming from a
cordless drill that I had plugged into an outlet. So I reached over to
unplug it and I feel a hand grab my wrist but I don't see anything.
After a second or two I was able to unplug the drill and prevent a fire.
To this day I strongly believe that was my ghost telling me that he was
upset because I was moving out. Even after that night I still miss my
ghost.

Ooooo. How freaky. He could have picked a better time to grab you
though. :)

I've had that happen a lot, and isn't it cool? Sometimes, I catch
glimpses of ghost kitties that aren't any of ours, and wonder how they
came to visit us. Sometimes, I can't see them, but it's obvious the
cats can, and they chase them. It's too funny.

I've posted a couple of times about my brother's ghost cat. It was his
companion for many years. I didn't realize until a week or so ago that
my mom also encountered Pat's shost cat. She had been in the hospital
for surgery, and spent her first night out of the hospital at Pat's
place, in his spare bedroom. When she went to bed for the night she sat
up reading for a while. While she was reading, with the lights on, she
felt a kitty jump up on the bed and curl up beside her. But of course
there was no kitty there.
It seems that the ghost kitty had somekind of link to Pat's cat
Samantha. Samantha crossed to the Rainbow Bridge a couple of months ago,
and since the day Samantha left the ghost cat hasn't been back.

Wilson often watches something behind me for ages then his eyes follw
*something* as it obviously moves around me, Its not a fly or a creepy
crawly
or he would chase it and I would see it as he stares so long, I often wonder
if
it could be my Son, or Henri RB Isuppose I'll never know Jean.P.
