Thank you all for your messages regarding our 20th anniversary.  We had
a lot of fun over the weekend.  DH planned the entire weekend which was
spent in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  He reserved a box car room at the
Chattanooga Choo-Choo (for those not familiar, the Chattanooga Choo-Choo
was the first train to run from Cincinnati, Ohio to Chattanooga making
it the first rail to connect the north and the south).  On Friday night
we went to the Tennessee aquarium which is a primarily fresh-water
aquarium but has added a sea horse exhibit which was fascinating.
Afterwards we ate dinner and I enjoyed Low-Country shrimp and cheese
grits..mmmm..mmmm!  Then we went to the Imax theater and saw the NASCAR
film, which wasn't as good as the INDYCAR film but I preferred the Ocean
film to either of those.  On Saturday we went to Rock City and then
played golf.  On Sunday we visited Lost Sea which is another cave and
underground lake in Tennessee.  (We have previously been to Ruby Falls
and the Incline).  I have a few pictures of all of this if anyone is
interested in seeing it which are in an album at
http://tinyurl.com/3jx2s . Of the sea horses some were from the southern
hemisphere and were very exotic.  My favorite was the leafy sea dragon
which I tried to take a picture of and is in this album.  But in case
you're not interested in the various pictures I'm sharing with my family
you can see the leafy sea dragon at http://tinyurl.com/3nzhn .  It is
soooo very cool!!

So now we're off to Ohio for races.  We have a race this weekend then we
go back next Friday for our national championship races and will be gone
an entire week.  Ginger-lynn, how close are you to Lexington or
Mansfield, Ohio?  What is the status of Morgana?

Your story on Chattanooga Choo-Choo brought back vivid memories for me - 20
odd years ago my late husband, myself and our son (aged 22 years) spent a
few days in Chattanooga (from memory we stayed at the Sheridan hotel) we
visited a lot of places you mentioned, went to Ruby Falls and the incline we
had a great time, spent 6 weeks travelling around the various states - 6
months after returning home my son was killed in an accident - so the
memories of that trip are all the more precious.

Lois,

I'm glad that I was able to remind you of a particularly special time in
your life, even if it was followed by such tragedy.  If it had to happen
though, I'm glad you had such a wonderful trip with your adult son who
could genuinely share with the experience and had memories to keep
tucked in a special corner of your heart.

Hugs and headbutts,
Julie

{{{{{{{{{{Lois}}}}}}}}}}  Ohmygawd, you've had just way too much tragedy and
sadness in your life.  I hope you are blessed with only joy and happiness
from here on out.

Hugs,

Glad to hear you had a good time. I enjoyed your pictures. You could
certainly see why it's called a *leafy* sea dragon! Interesting creatures.

Hi, Julie, glad you're back and had a good time!

From Lexington, KY, I'm probably about 2 hours.  Mansfield, I'm not
sure -- I'm thinking maybe about the same.  If you guys have time, I'd
love to meet you!  E-mail me, and I'll send you my phone# if it looks
like you can make it through Columbus.

Morganna is still on hold, but hopefully not for long.  The fosterer
found someone in her building interested, and I hope to do a phone
interview with her tonight to see if she's suitable.  I'm trying to do
this right, so I'm using a form I downloaded to screen potential
adopters, and I have a contract, too, that, among other things,
forbids declawing.  I hope this works out!  Thanks for asking.

PS If you don't have time to e-mail (since I just read your next post
that you're flying out tonight), and make it here, I'm in the book :-)
