Damn!  I thought those were already over with.  I've been waiting to
hear from Victor as soon as he got home.  I guess we'll have to wait
to hear from Tweed till she's able to get on-line herself again.

Hi, Folks

Quick update.   I returned from hospital this afternoon.  The operation
itself went well, but unfortunately a few hours later I had a vitreous
haemorrhage a.k.a. a retinal bleed, and now I can only tell light from dark
in the affected eye.  The hope is that it will gradually clear over a matter
of weeks or months.  I have to go again next Wednesday to see how progress
is.
Thanks for all your purrs and prayers

Tweed
P.S.  I *did* think about Victor's mom several times and hope it went well.
I have nearly 400 messages to catch up with - will take some time!

The furkids will keep purring for your eye to heal with no lasting
aftereffects.

Lots of purrs coming over that your eye clears up sooner rather than
later. Take it easy now, don't read too much at a time!

We're sending purrs that your eye heals completely and without
complications.  I'm glad to read that you're home.

How frightening.  I sure hope that is all it is and that it clears ASAP.
Take care and rest and recover.

Sending major purrs to you that the affected eye returns to normal as
swiftly as possible.

Lots of healing purrs and gentle headbutts on the way for you Tweed.  I
hope that the retinal bleeding is temporary and that you are able to see
again very soon.

That sounds scary. But I don't understand you not seeing color. A few
years ago I fell and hit my head and the impact busted most of the
capillaries in my eyeballs. For several hours everything was rather
dark and the colors faded, much like you would see at dusk. But the
visual dimming only lasted a few hours although the red eyeballs
lasted for a few days. I hope they are just being conservative about
the length of time "bleed" takes to recover your color sight. Purrs,

Hi, CATherine.

If you had busted capillaries *outside* your eyeball, that is on the
surface, you'd be OK soon.  Is that what you mean you had?
I'm talking inside the eye. Mine is now filled with blood, but I can see
that my computer screen shines white and I could see that the sky was blue
today and my neighbour's house was white.
I cannot see any detail whatsoever.  Yet.  Just light, dark and a few
colours.  If I go into the garden and look with my poor operated on eye, I
can tell the difference between the blue sky and the green tree.
Not exactly impressive yet.

Yeah, that is whwat I mean, busted capillaries. I hope you heal soon.
At least you can see well enough to be on the computer. Purrs,

Whew, yes.  My other eye is OK.  It would add insult to injury if I wasn't
able to use my computer!

That must be so frustrating, as well as downright frightening.
I hope all gets better soon, but I imagine it will take some time for your
body to absorb or whatever it is supposed to do with all that blood blocking
your vision.

Yes, it's a bit scary. However I was told it should eventually clear by some
sort of absorbsion process, so I'm letting that keep me positive.
The purrs seem to be helping a lot.  Today I could see a bit more than
yesterday.  I can now see things are moving on the TV screen.  I haven't a
clue what they are, though!  A day or so ago, the TV just looked like some
sort of light source, so this is progress, perhaps more rapid than the
hospital imagined :-)

Continuing to send purrs, good vibrations, positive thoughts, and anything
else that could make a difference.

Hooray!  It looks as if you're starting to make a little progress.
Whatever good Purr Power can do, you've got six little motors running
here in LA.

I'm glad things are improving, however slowly. Don't worry about the
television, there's hardly anything worth watching anyway. ;-)
