Here's a picture of two rescued babies from hurricane Frances. (At least,
I think it's Frances - it says "St. Cloud", but I always thought that
was in Minnesota. But as far as I know, there aren't any big storms going
on in MN...)

They are just so darn cute,  wonder where the Mama got too.
Purrs that they make it.

Awwww! Actually, Minnesota has just had some serious storms going on.
Tornado warnings and everything. Either way, I'm glad someone found
them.

Yes, those babies are lucky to be safe and dry. I hope they make it! They've
certainly had a dramatic start in life, and they are so sweet and helpless!
I'd imagine Mama's weather sense that something dangerous was about to start
overwhelmed her maternal instincts. Poor things, all of them!

AWWWWWW .... I found my Dusty cat at work after hurricane Floyd blew by
... 5 years ago ... she was barely six weeks old, soaking wet and
covered in fleas ... we bonded IMMEDIATELY when I picked her up and
pulled her in close to me. And today, she is still ALWAYS at my side.
She knows what I think, how I feel and argues with me EVERY day about
leaving for work. I have NEVER had a cat like her. I've got two others
(boys) and try desperately not to play favorites, but she is 'the one'.
... I call her my 'storm kitty'.

(I've told this story before - this is the SHORT version) ...

The day I brought her home, my little 4-year old nephew came over to
see the 'new kitty'. He was petting her, and his little bottom lip came
out, and in a sad little voice he asked, "But how did she get at your
work?"

I told him, "She came looking for me."

My sister (his mother) whispered "Good Answer."
