OK, an indelicate subject BUT. Pearl was looking for some lovin' as I was
reading the newsgroup and she was stepping on my laptop when, all of the
sudden, I could *smell* something *aweful*. My lovely Black Pearl apparently
had an overload of anal secretions. I'm sorry to say some of your posts were
momentarily obliterated. Whew! Stinko. It wasn't much but it was powerful.
She's the only one that doesn't seem to need a vet to get her sacs cleaned.

I've had this happen before with NewCat. One time, we were playing Scrabble
and she ran across the game board and squirted. Another time, we had just
woken up and NewCat was in bed being all lovey, and then STINK! We had to
get up and change the sheets immediately!

Ah yes, anal glands.
Whenever an animal gets a bath, they get their nails trimmed and anals
expressed. There's also times when you're holding an animal and they
get so scared they secrete anals. It's quite icky.
