I bought a skunk hat in Alaska as a present for the cats.  It is in
skunk colours and when you press a button on the side it begins to
scream and chatter and jerk its tail in the most alarming manner.  It
also wriggles.  The only thing missing is the smell!    As the noise and
movement are intermittent it is particularly amusing as it suddenly and
alarmingly comes alive.   'This will fix those pesky cats' I smirked to
myself.

I was so enthralled with my evil gift that I played it to everyone;   my
cousin in LA liked it so much that she played it every time she passed
it.  It's a wonder we didn't wear it out.   I played it to Joy when I
met her and also to Evelyn over the phone.   Sadly I forgot to play it
to David Yehudah.

When I got home I could hardly wait.   The little toads were so well
looked after by Kay they hardly noticed us.   I put the skunk on the
floor and let them investigate.   Then I started it up and watched the
fun.   Clyde was just about to take a bite when it started yelling.  
I've never seen cats move so fast, hehe.  Has anyone heard the term 'as
fast as a streak of weasel's .......'  The cats slithered back on their
tums only to hit the road again when the skunk restarted.  Haven't
laughed so much for years.  

Later I saw Bonnie wandering past with a mouthful of white nylon fur -
ah well, nothing lasts forever and revenge is sweet!
