A good cat day

This has been a good cat day.

It started out when I turned over and lay on my back this morning.
Presto jumped up on trhe bed and lay on my chest, headbutting my chin,
and purring loudly.

Little Feet curled up next to my pillow, and started up a small purr
or two.

Years ago, I had an old desk chair, that was the perfect size for <a
much smaller> Presto to sit in my lap while I was on the computer.
After that chair finally fell apart, I threw it out. It was months
before Presto stopped trying to get back up in the chair with me.

Well, he's started getting up in the chair with me again, and curling
up on my lap to nap while I surf. At first, he would lay his head down
under the arm of the chair, until he started hitting his head when he
woke up (grin). Now he has finally figured out that the top of the
chair arm is padded...

Dulce has a little silver friend. Or at least sh looks silver in the
dim evening light. She's actually a very nervous little tortie. Dulce
seems to be trying to lead her to our door, but she is still scared to
let me approach.

I had stepped outside earlier, and saw her and Dulce sitting side by
side, a foot away from me. I looked at her. She looked at me. For a
second, we were okay, then she realized I was too close, and ran off.

Dulce came inside for dinner, however. I've started nicknamimg her
dancing girl, because she gets up on her hind feet and dances around,
trying to get my hind in the right spot to rub her ears. She's a real
cutie.

Not long afterwards, Buster came in, and Lady came in the front door
so I could feed her out the back door. Lady hissed at Dulce, so I
hurried the walkthrough just a bit.

The grumpy cat that I had mentioned some time back - that our upstairs
neighbors had shaved and have been caring for... is adopted! The
upstairs neighbors are moving, and have decided to take him (they call
him Pierre) with them! Yay, neighbors!

Little Feet is getting irritated that Dulce likes to sit on me, and
jumped up on the couch and slapped her a couple of times, whenever she
had the gall to sit on me (grin). Each time she would approach me,
Little Feet would stand up and glare at her. She would then back off.

Funny thing is, Little Feet never sits on me, or in my lap. He
ocassionally lets me hold him and rock him like a baby, but that's it.
I guess he's telling her in no uncertain terms that I am *his* person,
and she can't have me.

I hope everyone else is having a great time.

Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

Thanks for the update, Mark. Your brood seems to be doing well. Yay about
Pierre and the neighbours!

I agree. Pierre? LOL!!! That's really an interesting choice. Maybe he's a
chef.
