Hi everyone,
One of the kittens at the shelter, a little grey and white girl named
Anastasia, suddenly became ill. I was at the shelter yesterday, and she
seemed fine. Was very energetic, appeared healthy. This morning, one of
the volunteers called me (the kitten coordinator is on vacation) and said
she was lethargic and didn't think she was eating. I took Ana to the vet,
he said she has a URI and had a fever. He gave her some sub-q fluids, sent
her home with Amoxicillin and an appetite stimulant. I took Ana home. I
syringe-fed her some Hill's a/d mixed with water, and a few minutes ago, she
actually took a few bites of food on her own. Poor little girl seems so
sad. She mostly just sits there in the meatloaf position. She's about 3-4
months old. It's 1:30 AM and I'm afraid to go to sleep. I have some sub-q
fluids here in case she gets dehydrated.

Oh, poor little baby! Purrs for her to get better ASAP. I wonder how
she got sick so quickly?

Purr Power is like love. Mostly, the more you give away, the more you
have to give. Purrs for the kitty to feel better. I'm sure she's
getting the best of TLC. There are always enough purrs around to save
some for a little one who's gotten sick.
Regards and six sets of Purrs,

Two sets of purrs from here for Anastasia. I forgot to ask the cockerels as
it was their bedtime, and they were perched, asleep.
When they get up so early tomorrow hear them crowing for Anastasia.
It should work.

The Power of Purr worked!!!
She is definitely feeling better! I finally had to put her back in the
bathroom and get some sleep. This morning when I got up, she ate all the
wet food she had, and some of the dry!! I am hearing some little sneezes,
but she seems much better. One of the first things she did was run over to
the adult food and eat some. Now she's on my lap kneading!
Thank you everyone :-)
I'll have to take a picture of little Ana.

I guess kittens can get 24 hour bugs just like bare-kids. I am happy
she is on the mend. Purrs,

Purrs that little Anastasia gets all better and finds her forever
home. Kittens can get so sick so fast sometimes it's scary....
