happy for you.
i recall when my female ferret took off the night after she was
desexed(climbed out a window). she was gone 4 days, almost given up hope
living between 2 main roads, and at 2 in the morning i heard something and
found her outside my bedroom window. i know how worried i had been then.
again, glad to hear he came home

Eyes -- have you tried posting at one of the veterinary newsgroups for
advice?  I seem to recall there is one called alt.med.veterinary that I've
heard about.  It might be worth a try.

Also, you might try the following links for vet info:

Woohoo!!!!!!!!!! I said a special prayer for him last night.

ALL RIGHT! That's terriffic news.

You can see how excited I was by the fact that I left the letter "n" out of
"returned." I have to be in a daze to let a spelling error slip past me!

Pat, I was away from the NG until after he returned and ready about your
worrisome times when I got back to it.  I'm so happy he's back.
