I just don't understand my Meowmie

Dear Hoomins,

You may already have heard my Meowmie talk about me to you.  Now granted,
I'm a kitten.  There are a lot of things I don't know about my human Meowmie
yet.  She's really very nice, most of the time. The thing about her that I
really do not get though is, why doesn't she like the toe game, when her
feet are so perfect for pouncing practice first thing in the morning? And if
she DOESN't want me to pounce on her feet, why does she keep moving them
around?  It may be because she's been sleeping under only a sheet lately, as
it's been very hot here. When I pounce, I naturally use my claws and fangs.
But she wakes up saying things that are really not at all nice.  Of course,
she  soon does get up and feed us, stroke us and play with us. I don't
understand why she takes so  few naps, either. Why is "night" the only time
she really thinks it's okay to sleep? Sleep is good ANY time of day!
Nothing is nicer than an after breakfast nap on a sunny spot on the bed with
Mama and Uncle Pan.

Nina.

I've noticed with my humans that their feet are really sensitive, and
I guess claws and teeth hurt them. Humans really don't like pain.

They don't sleep as much as we cats do. I think they think about 8
hours a day is reasonable. I'm a bit older than you are [I'm 11 years
old], but I still don't understand humans. I don't think any cat can,
but we love them anyway.

Dear Nina

You need to change to the nose game. When I was a kitten, I used to get my
hoomin to squeal with delight when I played the game of "how far can my fang go
up the hoomin nostril?" The skill is not to actually bite, but merely tickle
the inside of the nostril with your fangs.

Dear Nina,
You'll find out if you happen to meet a small hoomin, and you wave
your tail around.  Ouch!

my meowmie hates this game as well. especially when i am in the bed with her
and she doesnt know it. She explained that it hurt but i dont believe her on
ebit. the alternative is to sit on hte other side of the bedroom door and
howl (especially if this is during the night or very early in the morning) a
few howls normally gets the required effect and then you can bring her a
ball to throw and play with. They get annoyed at this but at least they get
up.

I newly found that sitting on their nose also works as they cant breathe so
wake up and give you the required attention.

I understand what you mean, Nina. My new mama slept with me my first night, and
I wanted her to play with me so I invited her to play Toes. She kept moving her
juicy little feet around, but was grumbling a lot of nasty words. Can you blame
this species for not understanding? After all, they only have two legs.
