I didn't read the story, but I'm hoping he actually has to serve the sentence.
Anybody with that capability in their heart really needs to be locked up away
from animals *and* society.

Amen. I read the story, and the guy has a kid. I worry for that child's
safety, and seeing his father do what he did to the cat can't be a good
memory or example, either. The poor cat had to be euthanized that same
night.

I read it and can't comprehend him saying "I'm not a bad guy". He set fire
to a kitten and threw it off a balcony! And he has a child??? Gawd help the
child.

And it's not like he took a spontaneous action fueled by a fit of
rage, which would be horrible enough. He had to have taken a certain
amount of time to plan how he was going to torture that poor animal.

The Divine Creator holds the kitten now, and that poor child needs some purrs
and prayers. No, he needs a lot of them. I'd hate to see him growing up to abuse
women, children or animals, because little kids learn what they live. Makes me
think of that kid in New Hampshire who won emancipation from his father who was
doing life for murder. That's justice too.
Blessed be,
Baha

I don't care how horrible it sounds, anyone who would do that to
another living creature, knowing s/he is capable of feeling pain,
needs to have the exact same thing done to him/her. Sitting in a
warm, comfortable jail cell for a few weeks or months, being furished
with decent meals, watching TV and such (ALL BEING PAID FOR WITH MY
TAX MONEY), is NOT justice served IMHO. Douse the s.o.b. with lighter
fluid, set him on fire, but DON'T euthanize him to put him out of his
misery!!
