Congratulations to all concerned.

It's rumoured that someone within this NG recently became a
great-aunt, but she's too modest & unassuming to have told us about it
(allegedly).

The great-aunt mentioned is so shy and retiring that she doesn't often
mention the fact that she is a great-aunt.

but then she started off with 7 of her own and put them in the Scool room
for their radio lessons at the school hours, They ran a sheep staionand I've
seen her sheep dipping mustering cattle milking, and other stuff, aswell as
keeping a big station house, oh and feeding the shearers an' all I'm very
proud of her cause when she was young, she wouldpay me and my other sister

6 of the 14 are steps and all 6 of the greats are steps.  My youngest
son married a woman with 6 girls, and they now have 4 plus his 2 from
a previous marriage.  Oops, I missed a great-grandson.  His son has a
little boy.

And from me too, Nan.
I've been to see mine because I'm lucky they don't live too far away.  The
doctor was there checking him over as they had to come home within a few
hours because of ward closure.  He pronounced him to be "the epitome of
perfection."
What a nice doctor.
Not that I'm boasting, oh, no.   Perish the thought.
He doesn't have much hair, but what there is, is fair, although his skin
looks like it belongs to someone else, as it's slightly too big for him just
yet.
And those fleeting expressions.  Just adorable.  Sister in law reports up to
now he is no trouble at all - unlike the other two.
I held him for half an hour.  His little hand closed over my thumb for
comfort.  That's exactly what his brother has always done, he has a thumb
fixation, and failing that, the big toe will do..
Bless his little cotton socks.
I am not besotted with him at all and shall try not to bore the pants off
you with his every move.
I hope you won't mind if I am a bit vulgar now, but I remind myself of
another besotted aunt, and her colleague said  (behind her back)  "I am fed
up with hearing about every time this child farts."
;-)
Promise I won't mention it.

I just wish I lived close enough to see her once in awhile.  (That is,
at times I wish I lived close enough.  Other times I'm glad I don't
live close enough for a phone call to say, "Grandma, can we spend the
weekend with you?".)  Before we moved here I was getting a call every
Friday night.  I love my grandchildren, but sometimes it is very
inconvenient to have 2 to 3 kids every weekend.
