For several weeks now Sheba has been doing something peculiar. When
she is about halfway through her bowl of food, she starts talking,
with her mouth full. It makes me think of some times when I have been
extremely hungry and wolf my food down and say things like, "Boy, I'm
so hungry I could eat a horse! This tastes wonderful! Oh, boy, this is
so good!"
Maybe it is just coincidence that I changed her food from Diabetic
Management food to Fancy Feast!

LOL! I think you got it! hehe Actually, I alternate Shamrock's food
between Pro Plan and FF because he won't eat dry food at all, and
he's starting to get picky about canned.

Years ago I read somewhere that animals don't need flavor and variety.
I thought, what nonsense! To be technical, our bodies don't need
flavor and variety, either. But our tastebuds and our brains do. It is
usually necessary for food to taste good to stimulate appetite to get
all the vitamins for health. And eating is one of life's pleasures. I
certainly enjoy eating; my cats should, too.

I found out a lot of Fancy Feast is very low carbs. So now she gets
flavorsome variety in her diet. But I still test her blood glucose.

I think the chances are good that she's complimenting the chef. Health food
one thing, but now and then, we all want to eat something delicious. <G>

Last night I couldn't stop giggling at the posts tonight you
get the prize, I nearly fell off my chair laughing, at the thought of you
saying all that while you were wolfing the food down. Jean.P.

LOL!! I confess i have done exactly that; table manners forgotten!
Sometimes when i have a really long, stressful day and no time for
lunch and get home exhausted and starving and my son puts a plate of
food in front of me; I am almost hysterical with relief and hunger.

Are you diabetic? Rob and the motley crew laugh at me because I
sometimes do that after a rough day, when my blood sugars are out of whack.

No. But when I am stressed out, my blood sugar drops. My job is
stressful anyway; but sometimes it is more so. My office knows this,
so that when we have meetings, food is always provided. A lot of the
field staff don't seem to suffer from the stress; but it is nice to
knwo that the office provides for those who do. And almost every desk
has a bowl of candy of some sort, chocolate being most popular. I
don't get into the office mor4e than twice a week usually' but the
first thing I do is make the rounds of the offices and fill my pocket
with candy! Yesterday I picked up a few lemon taffys and some
Werthers. Then at the meeting we had veggies and dip and cookies. I
wasn't very hungry by the time I got home! <G>
