Hello,
Jim & I are back from our daughter's wedding. The power of purr is truly
impressive. Not only did Tropical Storm Earl dissolve and we did not have
to worry about leaving Rosie and Cinder, the weather was perfect for the
wedding in the park.
The only mishap was that the little flower girl was stung by a bee shortly
before the ceremony. However, after a dose of benedryl, the little trooper
performed her duties flawlessly.
We had a great time seeing both our daughters and meeting the groom's
family.
According to the cat sitter, Rosie and Cinder were good girls. Each time
she visits, she writes a report of what they were doing when she arrived and
what she did and how the kitties interacted with her.
Although she was not scheduled to come yesterday (we got in last night), she
dropped in that morning because she was in the neighborhood. She did not
charge for that visit, but we will pay her anyway.
The girls are back to the usual routine, as if we never left.
Thanks again for the purrs.

Welcome back Annie. Glad to read that the wedding went so well. Also
glad to read that Rosie and Cinder had a good time, and were such good
girls. I like your cat sitter. Is she a professional?

Yes, she is bonded and insured. She charges $17 per visit and also brings
in mail and newspaper. She recently raised her rates because of the cost of
gasoline.
She has a key to our house in case we want or need to call her at the last
minute. She leaves us a bill with her report, and I write her a check and
mail it to her. Also, she doesn't mind if I call her while we are gone, just
to ask about our kitties. It works out really well.
