Thank goodness Maine Coons apparently have intelligence and like to learn.
As big a doofus as Joe Kitty is - and he's a BIG doofus - he has learned a
few things that I have requested of him regarding behavior.

One of them is "No claws" on peoples.

Thank god he understands, because Sweetie attacked him and he used my knee
as a grabbing spot to move the top half of his body out of her reach, (Sort
of went up on hind haunches, and grabbed my knee before sort of flopping
over backwards and heading to the other room) and it was all soft paw.  That
could have been one nasty injury - with a nearly 2- lb. cat grabbing my knee
with ten claws as leverage...

Mine have always been quite good about that too. It makes you realize how
intelligent they are.

Yep, both LB and Sammy are very careful not to hurt tender hoomin
skin. LB won't even come sit on my chest if I'm sitting here in short
pants without a shirt. Rocky hasn't fully caught on, yet. Usually he
avoid using his claws, but he forgets every couple days

Wowser, are you lucky!  I'm sure mine wouldn't have been able to do that!

Isn't it lovely when they touch you with soft paws?
Wilson always does it that way when he wants my attention

YES!

Especially those large extra furry Maine Coon softpaws.

TBird <---- but he's still and evil cat who only pretends to love me, and
now I have proof (for another post)
