Hubby got the brilliant idea to hang a grocery store plastic bag on the
wall to put the pouches from the cat food, so they wouldn't get into the
trash bucket and wreak havoc on the kitchen. "Why, what a neat idea!"
you may think. "And how clever of Louie!"

Right...

Yesterday morning we were unceremoniously awakened by something that
sounded like a junkyard exploding. We had these wire shelves along the
wall beneath that bag. One of our little food thieves got the brilliant
idea to climb up and reach, and knocked the whole thing over. What's
left of the dining room is a shambles: my makeup scattered from hell to
breakfast, shoes EVERYWHERE, my husband's computer magazines looking
like a newsstand that got hit by a cyclone.

But the bag remains hanging from its nail, untouched. I still have my
worries. Athletic Roxie can jump easily from floor to top of fridge. One
of these days, I just know we'll have little Whiskas pouches everywhere.
I can't keep those kids out of anything that looks like it's edible!

Blessed be,

Baha

Ha, I've literally got to lock the dry cat food up in a cabinet in my
laundry room or Omar will chew through anything to get to the cat food
(learned this the hard way!).  He will sit on top of the dryer and meow at
the cabinet in a mournful way; I'm such a mean meowmie!

Bosley the grandcat eats those pouches of Whiskas. I was supposed to be feeding
him 3 days last week, and I left a grocery bag with about 20 of those things in
it on the bar. Next day, he had gotten into them, opened them, and strung them
all over. It was a mess. He also chewed a hole through the litter sack (??) I
think he is angry at being left alone, bored, but not hungry. His Daddy is
being sent to Colorado with Halliburton's. I've got to bite the bullet and
start integrating him here.

Good luck with that Sherry. Does he get along with Bootsie and the
rest of the gang?

No, he doesn't get along with anybody or anything. He doesn't even know he's a
cat. Poor thing. He's like the schoolyard bully.

Aww poor boy. I just read your post to Karen so I'm happy to see you
won't have to take him in permanently.  :)

have company he will behave.

HaPPy DaNcE. The girlfriend did work out. I asked today. She plans to move
mid-September into the house. That's about when he has to go to CO. What a
relief.
