Hi All,

After much urging, and promising to take care of myself for at least a
week (Not just laying around like a slug and failing to do my heart
exercises), my DH, Lynda, has joined us as a lurker.  She says to say
*"Hi!!"* and that she will write something soon.

She loved Theresa's tales and the threads about Stinky and the 'Night
Of The Mousies.'  She couldn't bring herself to read the story of my
little "Twenty-four Hour Kitty" as she just knew what it had to be
about.

It was the first time she had used a newsreader interface (we use
Agent) and she took to like a duck takes to water.  I used to be the
computer geek of the household, but she's taken over that position.
If anyone wants to, I would appreciate it if you would post a
follow-up to this article and say hello to my DH.

Regards and Purrs,
O J

Hi, Lynda, and welcome to the group! Anyone who coins a phrase like "don't
give me those ears" should fit right in here. :o)

Oh yes!! I have had ample opportunity to use it as well. It was a terrific
coinage :)

My personal favorite is "Don't look at me with that tone of face." It's three
years older than dirt and I've forgotten its origin.

My grandmother used to say something very similar.  "Don't look at me in
that tone of voice, it smells a funny colour."

Dunno.  Is that where it comes from?   And here was me thinking she'd made
it up herself...childhood illusions ruined..  <sob>

No, I think it was made up, but it's very Carrollian in style :)

Lewis Carroll ROCKS! He's been my favorite writer for eons. Have you read
_Sylvie and Bruno_ as well? It rarely gets any attention in the USA.

Blessed be!

I reread Alice in Wonderland at least once a year. Somehow it just keeps
things in perspective. :o)

Hi Lynda, dip in a paw, and find yourself the most comfortable spot on the
couch. =o) There's lots of purring and very little hissing and growling,
around here.  I sure appreciate the friendly welcome I've had from the
a.p.c.a crowd.

Hi Theresa!  Welcome to the best newsgroup on the planet.  I've just
rejoined after being abducted for about 6 years! ;>  I think you'll find, as
I did, that these people are the kindest, most caring group of people you'll
ever "meet".  I've never known another newsgroup that not only DOESN'T
FLAME, but is actively involved in each others' lives to the point of
worrying when a regular has not posted in a while.

Please make yourself at home and feel free to post whatever and whenever
you'd like.

Hugs,

Some are sad, many are hiliarious.  Lots of great photos are shared, too.

Howdy from Singh of the Order of the Wing!!! And welcome. I'm new here
too, invited directly by OJ and I love it. This is the nicest crowd, and
the only spam here comes in a kitty dish. If the cats really want to eat
that stuff anyway. I do have ham thieves though, and dinner in this house
is an adventure worthy of a Charles Bronson movie.

Blessed be!

**Waves**  Hi DH, Linda!!  I'm Pam Shirk in Fayetteville, North
Carolina, currently owned by seven cats.  Their names are Tanada,
Berfert, Squeakers (all tuxedo cats), Pine Cone and Merlin (white with
gray tabby spots), SPC Huey (promotion to sergeant good on Labor Day),
and last but not least, my little brown/gray baby girl tabby, QC.  Hope
you enjoy yourself in here.  We tend to play nice, so you shouldn't have
too much trouble fitting in.
