We got a call from the nice shelter lady Marilyn, who is foster-mama to
Brandy and several other kitties as well as her own furbabies. Brandy's
spaying is Wednesday. We've elected to take her the Thursday before
Labor Day, mostly to let her recover and to give her extra time with me
and Louie in the room where we keep cats before introducing them to
Stosh and Roxie; also, because we get paid then and can do the adoption
fee then.
I've been warned, er, told that she's a little hellion and likes to get
into things, so she'll get on nicely with my inquisitive pair. I'm told
she likes to wrestle and so Stosh'll love her; and then she'll chill and
get calm and philosophical, which will be good for Roxie. They'll all be
indoors, but I hope the girls don't get into it over the fellas who keep
coming around. With two stylish ladies in the house, we may have more
visits from the neighborhood toms than ever. (See the post on Roxie's
Suitors. For an indoor cat, my girl gets a lot of action.)
I am SO excited over getting my Brandy, I feel like it's a pregnancy or
something. We're both happy to have three furchildren. It was like a
gestalt when we fostered Brian, everything seemed complete and peaceful.
Of course this doesn't mean we won't take a fourth...
If she likes the name Brandy and wants to keep it, I insist she get
Alexandra for a middle name.
Blessings,
Baha

A hoolikitten! How lovely. I am excited for you, and looking forward
to hearing all about her once you get her home.

HOOLIKITTEN!? what a lovely word! So poetic and descriptive. So...Stosh.
Hubby thinks we were picked for her because the shelter thought we were the best ones to
handle a rambunctious kitlet who likes to knock over things and make much noise.
I'll keep everyone posted!

Baha

Hoolikitten is apt, isn't it? Though I have one in residence, I can't
claim credit for the word; I read it here on rpca.
Oh, and like Suz said - WE WANT KITTEN PICS!!! :-D
