Request for purrs (kinda long)

I need some purrs for my parents, and maybe a few to soothe my nerves.

Night before last, my parents (and their unbelievably kind neighbor)
were at the ER.  Short version: we think Mom had a mini-stroke, but they
can't find anything to prove this.  The only test they didn't do was an
MRI (they did a CT, however).  Her BP was slightly elevated, but not
dangerously (i.e. normal for her) and all other tests came back
normal/clear/negative/whatever means not a problem.  She's seeing her
regular Dr this morning.  It's *vaguely* possible, based on her
symptoms, that she had a sudden, horrendous migraine.  She's never had
one before and has a history of BP problems, so they'd naturally assume
a stroke or cardiac problem.  But with all the tests coming back clean,
it's a possibility.  I never thought I'd hope my mother had a migraine!!
I didn't learn of this until after lunch yesterday, so I'm still kind
of on edge.  (And using "I won't yell at my dad" as my mantra last night
and today.)  So, please purr for us.

Oh, and suggestions are welcome for a way to say thank you to my parents
neighbor who voluntarily rode to the hospital with Dad and *stayed
there* from 10:30 pm to 5:00 am!!  Today is the annual "stuff the boot"
fundraider for the local fire fighters (benefits the Muscular Dystrophy
Assn.) so I'm going to go over at lunch and put in a donation as my
thank you to them.  Apparently they were great, and very patient with my
70ish year old parents in a very stressful situation.

Well, tearing up again.  Better go.  Thanks in advance!!

Does your parents' neighbor have a favorite charity?  I have sometimes made
donations "in honor of" (*not* "in memory of" - LOL!) friends who have done
special favors for me.  Be sure to ask the charitable organization you
select to notify the person being honored.

I used to get migraines, and it's hard to imagine wishing for one...but in
this case, I agree that it would be far preferable to some of the
alternatives.  Anyway, here's wishing the best for your mothr.

I'll have to ask him.  That's a good idea.  And Thanks for the wishes!

Purrs on the way for the doctors to find what caused this, and to be
able to prevent any reoccurance. Also soothing purrs on the way. It's
great that they have such a good neighbor

Purrs for everyone.  Scary situation, for sure.  I hope it truly is
"just" a migraine, although I know well those can be horrendous.
Hopefully the right meds will take care of the problem.

Purrs and feel better hugs for you all, and grateful thanks for people
like your parents' neighbor.  Where would we be without them.
