Last night, I had Mr. Clark, Rhonda, and Ding on the bed, socializing.
They were adopted together, and while biologically unrelated, Mr. Clark
(around 5) has always acted parental to the two younger ones. Rhonda and
Ding are now a little over 2, and, as far as they are concerned, litter
mates, with Rhonda far more outgoing than Ding. Mr. Clark, while
normally VERY relaxed, remains The Authority.
Anyway, Rhonda was being emphatically vocal to me, and she clearly was
coming up with some new sounds. When I repeated a couple, she seemed
indignant.
Now, through much of this, Mr. Clark and Rhonda had been grooming each
other. Then, Rhonda said The Phrase.
Mr. Clark's ears did a radar lock, he rose up, hissed (which he almost
never does), and reached out and bopped Rhonda over the head, bowling
her over. He then stretched back out, with a "so there!" expression on
his face.
WHAT, I wonder, did she say?

Hehehe. A four-letter word00000000000000000000000000000000000 maybe? (Sorry,
that was Nikki's comment in the middle.)
Once when Frank and Nikki were sitting on the window sill looking out, Nikki
was scratching at the pane. I hate the sound of claws on glass, and I said,
NIKKI! Stop that! Frank immediately turned to Nikki and bapped her head, as
if to enforce my command. ;o)

You don't want to know - it was one of those cat-secrets - if they tell you,
they'll have to kill you.

ROFL! That reminded me of the time my husband Dave and I were traveling with
our 2 cats, Maus (RB) and Dweazel (RB) aka Dee. Maus was complaining about
being in the car - he kept meowing and howling. Finally, Dee looked at him
with ears flat back, and said to him "MIT"! Maus immediately shut up. <G> We
figured that Dee had told him to be quiet. <G> We ended up giving Maus the
nickname of Mit-Mit. I miss those boys! If you would like, you can see them
on their webpage:
