Oliver and I had a little disagreement last night.  I was practically
hanging off the side of the bed and he had his whole body stretched out
in to the middle of the bed.  I gently picked him up to scoot him over a
little and he rounded on me and bit my hand.  He didn't break the skin
but it is a little bruised and it is sore today!  He then got up and
stalked off after glaring at me.

About 10 minutes later he came in and pawed at me so I would hold him
and I said, "OK, I forgive you for biting me"  You would have thought I
had said something shocking.  His eyes got wide and then narrowed, he
puffed up a little and he stalked off muttering.  You could tell he was
highly offended that I was forgiving him when clearly I was in the wrong
for moving him.

10 minutes later he came back and pawed at me again. This time I told
him we'll just have to agree to disagree because I thought he was wrong
and he thought I was wrong.  He looked at me a minute and then settled
down.  But he got in the last "word" because he gently bit me and then
turned around and looked at me like "so there!"

I just had to laugh.  :-)

Well, that's the natural order of things at my place. ;)

How did he react to that?  They seem to understand everything that is
said.   MLB

Oh, I agree 100% that he seems to understand everything we say.  When I
laughed he actually seemed amused, too. Like he was trying to be funny
and make a point at the same time.  He then snuffled me and then
snuggled into my arms and went to sleep.
