Reminds me of one of my customers. She has two dogs, feeds them well,
takes them to the vet, allows them constant access to an air
conditioned back porch... Sounds pretty good, but they are totally
untrained and she has no time to spend with them.

I know. There is a dog on my block who spends all day tied up on her
porch. She is a complete sweetie, but also completely untrained. She
is like an automatic pee machine.
Seems like this is how some people handle their dogs. Don't bother to
train them, then when they get impossible, just tie them up somewhere.
I can't have anymore beasties now, otherwise, I would just march up,
ring their doorbell and say, "Are you sure you really want that dog?
I'll take her."
