Abelard found in pool....

This morning when I came back from watering the horse herd in a nearby
pasture, Abelard was standing in the little wading pool I have in the yard.

Just standing there, looking down into the water.

He looked up at me as I approached, as if to say, "Look, mom! I'm in the
pool!"

I was so flabbergasted (he's always hated being bathed) that I didn't
think to go grab the camera. Instead, I ran to the next field, where Gloria
was riding her gelding. When she got there to look, Abelard was sitting next
to the pool licking his fur.

I did take a few pics of him later on, when he got in my lap. I posted them
on the farm site, at:

LOL
Something probably caught his attention. Shamrock will go to great
lengths to catch something he's seen that he wants.

LOL me too Theresa. My newsreader said "found in pool..." with the ellipses,
like there's something more, like "of blood". Gaaahhh. Don't scare me like
that.

Yeah me too. I figured it was bad news, after reading about his
seizures. Glad to see he's OK.

He looks like a character.

It just made me think of "Sunset Boulevard."  And I probably watch too
many cop shows.  On them, when they "find" somebody, they usually
mean, um, erm . .  . :(

I haven't watched TV much since the late 1960s. I have a TV but since I
don't get decent reception on it I only use it for viewing video tapes.

hat
Sunset Boulevard? As in Norma Desmond? LOL My all-time favorite line. "It's no
crime to be 50, Norma"
All that time I thought Norma was at least 75.

HA!  Actually, she looked pretty good-- it was the makeup that was
bad.  Some of those dresses showed some skin, too, and it was still
sticking up in all the right places. ;)  And Swanson was NOT a
plastic-surgery fiend, like everybody seems to be these days.
