Did I scare you?

Hi all! I've been hiding lately and have been neglecting to read and/or post
for a looonnngg time.

What threads I have all seem to be pretty positive! How nice! The
purr-brigade must be working overtime!

Purrs and prayers here to those who do need them.. Ginger-lyn.. power purrs
going out to you, hoping those neighbors disappear a.s.a.p. For Magic Mood
Jeep.. heebie jeebie purrs headed your way for the worms. I could NOT have
handled that... I swear to God, I would have had to move out while SOMEONE
else literally fumigated and cleaned my house. <Shudder>. Britta, God help
you, you've been a busy lady! I honestly don't know how you deal with all
that paperwork and runaround without losing your mind!

I would like to know how the wee Yowlet is doing, and Marina.. have you went
to the beach yet (or did I forget our seasons may be opposite?)? How is Dave
Y. doing these days, and more importantly, how is Patty? :). None of my
threads had any pertinent information on those points.

What's new... let's see... we still have same four fur butts, Patrick, Mr.
Bob, Nancy and Moogie along with The Moose. We are currently hosting a 13
and 11 year old (have mentioned them coming to visit in past) .. well, they
and 3 siblings plus dog, kitten, rat and parents moved back to NY but didn't
have anywhere to live when they moved back! So anyway, I have had 2 oldest
for a couple months <twitch twitch> while the rest of the family resides
with other people! Of course, their kitten couldn't live with Gramma as
planned since said kitten liked to swing from Gramma's finch cage. And guess
who got the kitten? Huh.. just throw it down here in the mix, we won't
notice another one! This kitten is named Meatball. Yep.. poor thing is
cursed allready. Meatball doesn't like my cats, my dog, the couch, a shadow,
my husband.. you name it, she hisses at it when she sees it. So I put her in
the "guest room" (a.k.a. the Throw all the crap in there room) with a litter
box and food and water. DH and I go into visit a bit now and then, while The
Moose barks her fool head off on the other side of the closed door. Meatball
is really sweet, about 6 months old, purr motor set on high at all times,
loves to get into your face and just love up on you. She's grey and tiny
like my Nancy, but a bit thinner in the face with bigger eyes ("That's the
bastard in her." DH said right before getting smacked). She's also blessed
with light pink, er, um, splotches in odd places on her body. You can't call
them markings, as they aren't really specific enough. She kinda looks like
she has liver spots! Oohh.. LOL.. I just made myself giggle on that one.
Anyway, after a couple days I realized she just wasn't happy, she didn't
like the surroundings, the other animals, etc.. she was locked up in this
room with no one to love on her. So I asked my coworker if she'd like to
foster, and she said yes, so off Meatball went. Ever day I'd hear funny
stories of the kitten and I could rest easily knowing she was getting
spoiled out of her mind at her foster home. Two weeks go by,  we take three
days off for July 4th and coworker suddenly says she is going to Phoenix for
the week, can I take Meatball back as she has no one to care for her at her
place. <SIGH> Sure, no problem. Bring Meatball home, return her to
guestroom. Kids open door to see Meatball, leave door open. Meatball gets
out, gets chased by The Moose back into guestroom. Rinse and repeat a couple
times and next thing you know, Moogie and Meatball are best friends. Playing
together, sleeping together, eating together (well, actually, I think Moogie
was stealing Meatball's food). Meatball overnight became one of the fur
family. At dinner time she's right there with the other cats asking for
food, she's sleeping in the other cats' favorite spots, running from The
Moose just the same as the others. Patrick, Bob and Nancy don't even seem to
notice.. maybe they've given up and decided Mommy is going to get more cats,
no matter what they do! Meatball and Moose have a loving hate-hate
relationship, chase and run, growl and hiss but nothing vicious enough to
worry about.. Moose is all play. Moogie and Meatball have regular boxing
sessions and go at it with much screeching and growling and purring all at
once and just when you break it up for fear of blood, they are snuggling
together and licking each other's wounds. Moogie is in 7th Heaven.

NOTICE: I AM NOT KEEPING THIS CAT

Anyway, we'll have the foster fur and bare kids for an undetermined time so
the twitching shall continue. I totaled my van a couple weeks ago, T-Boned
it as everyone calls it. No one was hurt, but The Moose was in the car and
her little legs were shaking for a while. Either she's really brave or
really stupid, because she asked to go for a ride later that same day! No
fear from the accident.

I think that's all that is new that I can think of! See, the longer I'm
gone, the more I have to say! :)

Smooches

Uh-huh. Sure. Ok, right. I'll drag out this post from whatever Google turns
into 15 years from now to remind you that its time to give her up.

Great to see you again, though! Yowlet is growing like a weed (pics at
http://potos.yahoo.com/yowie9644 in the CaryJames folder), Fluff isn't quite
sure what Cary is supposed to do yet, and Shmogg thinks its great because he
often gets fed at 4am and then again at 8am because the shtoopid hoomins are
too tired to tell each other not to feed him again.

Otherwise, things are fine, and glad to hear tha tyou are too, even though
it may be just a tad crowded there at the moment.
