I'm afraid so. Every once in awhile when some dope asks me why I care
so much about cruelty to animals when people have so many problems, I
always think, "How wonderful do you think these people who are cruel
to animals, are going to be to their fellow humans?" :P

I just hate to harangue about this, but could we please put an abuse warning on
stories like this one. I realize what the OP meant by "Good News" but if I'd
known the copy involved description of kittens being burned, hung, etc. etc.
I'd have skipped over it. Thanks.

Amen.

I can no longer watch documentary's on wild animals because they
always put lots of footage of animals killing each other, I know
this happens, but I dont want to watch it thank you, it just means
I have to miss watching these beautiful animals especially the big cats
so I couldn't bear watching *alleged humans*killing and torturing the
small ones. Jean.P.

Sorry about not putting in an "abuse warning" - will do so next time!
And Jean - I *loved* that remark about "alleged humans" - made me chuckle.

things to say about Re: Good news:

It *is* well documented that serial killers have a dismayingly high
incidence of animal abuse before they "move up" to human victims [says
the resident true-crime buff]. I've never seen stats on the
pathologicals who abuse animals, but stop short of humans, but I
suspect it's VERY bad. :-(
