Reminds me of ?Monty Python? chant "spam, spam, spam, spam; spam,
spam, spam, spam" (and so on, ad infinitum, off into the distance)
Where I live is a very multicultural area, having been Sydney's
immigrant and welfare dumping ground for several decades, so has some
verrry interesting shops.
Where we buy our vegetables (run, in our imaginations, by the
Australian branch of the Mafia - cocaine in our cucumbers!) is close
to a Pacific Islander grocer. It is an *amazing* store - it has an
entire wall of taro and yams and another entire isle filled with
different kinds of spam. Until I went there I *never knew* spam came
in so many different flavours - curry, chilli, lite, low salt, etc.
Dave had to hussle me outta there quick smart before I embarrassed him
by giggling at it and insisting on buying some to take home and try.
Actually, I'm not very fond of spam, but would find it difficult to
resist curried spam - just as a once-off.
Another favourite store features that fabulous stuff - Purple Yam Jam,
which is (as promised) a virulent purple colour. We tried it once and
it was too sweet for our taste, but we enjoyed the colour.

Now, *that* would be a classic Python line....add that in to the "Spam"
skit menu...."Purple Yam Jam and Spam"................
Had no idea that Spam came in so many flavors. Every time I think
about it, I remember a Far Side cartoon where the "Spamalopes" grazed
without fear of the hungry lion, 'cause lions only like *real* meat...:)
Time for a trip to the more non-generic grocery stores to see if they
can offer something like the purple yam jam. Got to at least try it,
if only for the color...:)
Oh...and to keep things on topic to some extent, the fur kids *all* like
Spam....but then again, Tripper likes Pop Tarts....go figure...:)

IIRC computers spam was named after the Python scetch. (do you want spam
with that)

Ah ha! I'd forgotten that adrian.
I had fun at the Mall food court yesterday. Friday must be sample day. One
place had grilled chicken with a sweetish sauce. I had a huge Samosa from the
Indian place, it wasn't that spicey at first, but the heat increased as I
nibbled. Chris shared some of her Tariaki chicken & shrimp (forgive my spelling
Tak). The sushi serving were big so I didn't get any because it would be two
hours before I was home.

>>What Simpson spam? It hasn't reached my server.
There were a few semi-pornographic thread titles involving "Simpsons"
characters, a couple of weeks ago. They showed up, briefly, on all of
my newsgroups, but even the folks on rec.music.opera (the most
contentious of my groups) didn't pay them any attention, and they
quickly stopped. (If that's the worst "spam attack" we ever get -
actually that's "trolling" not "spamming" - we'd never need any
"troll-b-cues" at all!)
